I may just burst from excitement from sharing these photos from Lindsey and Erik’s incredibly wedding day. Lindsey has been one of my closest friends since living down the hall from her our freshman year at Geneva College, and starting our wedding photography journeys only months apart. Over the past few years, Lindsey and I have been each other’s “models” when we were still learning the technical side of our craft, bounced ideas off of one another, and inspired each other to always keep growing, and learning.
When Erik proposed to Lindsey late last year, I was absolutely thrilled for her, and so excited for it to be her turn in front of the camera…as a beautiful bride, marrying her very best friend. Her and Erik just “click”, and it’s so easy to see how perfect they are for one another. Understanding each other’s nerd-like tendencies (just wait ’til you see their guest “book” and cake toppers!), and supporting each other in their walk with the Lord. It’s such a beautiful thing to see a close friend fall in love.
Photographing Lindsey and Erik’s wedding is one of the biggest honors I’ve had as a wedding photographer. To have an incredibly talented photographer trust *you* to take their very own wedding photos…it was humbling and oh so exciting. As the months flew by, and Lindsey filled me in on the various aspects of planning their wedding, I knew this was going to be a wedding for the record books. And oh my…it did not disappoint! These two threw an awesome celebration at Old Economy Village, full of gorgeous details, amazing food, and the sweetest first look ever.
